Dr. Albers is a 2022 Graduate of University of Missouri – St. Louis College of Optometry. A central IL native, Dr. Albers received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. After undergraduate, Dr. Albers spent time working as a technician and scribe in a large optometry/ophthalmology office. After realizing a previously undiscovered fascination about all things eyes and vision, she decided to go back to school to earn her optometry degree. She considers herself a BIG eyeball nerd and really enjoys spending time helping patients to better understand their vision and health.
Dr. Albers lives in Springfield with her cat, Winnie, dog, Petunia, and partner Zach. In her spare time she enjoys reading, video games, and being outdoors (especially near the water).
She is accepting new patients at our Jacksonville and Springfield locations.
