Surgical Retina Specialist & Comprehensive Ophthalmologist
Dr. Sean Hendricks is a board-certified ophthalmologist with fellowship training in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex retinal conditions, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears and detachments, and vitreous hemorrhage.
A Quincy, Illinois native, Dr. Hendricks earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed his internship at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Missouri–Columbia, followed by an intensive surgical retina fellowship at Retina Consultants of Alabama and the University of Alabama at Birmingham—one of the leading retina training programs in the country.
Dr. Hendricks brings advanced surgical skill, a calm bedside manner, and a strong commitment to patient education. He is currently accepting new patients at Prairie Eye & LASIK Center for both medical and surgical retina care.
