Dr. Myeni brings extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of complex glaucoma and cataract patients. She completed her Glaucoma Fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital, the top program in the country. She is also board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Her clinical background includes serving as a glaucoma and cataract specialist in both private practice and hospital-based settings, including the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group, Koch Eye Associates, Visionary Eye Doctors, and as a Glaucoma Specialist for the U.S. Army.
Dr. Myeni has also been active in research and has presented nationally on glaucoma surgical outcomes and patient care. In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Myeni holds a Master of Public Health from Harvard University, reflecting her commitment to advancing patient care both individually and at the community level. She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Myeni will serve glaucoma patients in Springfield and glaucoma and cataract in Decatur. She will be here the 1st and 3rd weeks for the rest of 2025 and the 2nd and 4th weeks beginning in 2026 – please check IMW for any updates in scheduling.
