Alex Willis, MD

Alex Willis, M.D. joined the practice in August 2022 as a cataract and refractive surgeon. He also has special interests in functional plastic surgery and cosmetics, including Botox.

Initially interested in engineering, he graduated with honors from Missouri University of Science and Technology with the aspiration of becoming an ophthalmologist. Dr. Willis subsequently earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City. This was followed by his ophthalmology residency and being chief resident at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore.

Dr. Willis’ inspiration for joining the field of ophthalmology is centered on service, previously joining an ophthalmology focused mission to Haiti. He is dedicated to offering the best treatment available to the patients he cares for by making a collaborative plan with each patient. His focus is to reduce the dependency on glasses by maximizing current technology at the time of cataract surgery and LASIK procedures.

Outside the realm of ophthalmology, Dr. Willis enjoys biking and golfing. He is a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and has followed the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team as long as he can remember.

Dr. Willis is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
