William Yang, MD

William Yang, M.D. received his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry at the University of Chicago in 1998. He spent the next two years in Morocco with the Peace Corps. After returning to the United States, Dr. Yang pursued his medical degree at the University of Wisconsin. His subsequent ophthalmology training was done at Texas Tech University. Dr. Yang went on to complete his fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at Albany Medical College in New York.

Dr. Yang joined Prairie Eye Center in August of 2010 and he maintains hospital privileges at all hospitals in Springfield and Illinois. He concentrates his practice on corneal transplants and cataract surgery. Dr. Yang accepts Medicare assignments and participates with most insurance plans. He is currently accepting new patients at our Springfield location.
