Mohamed Gendy, M.D., Fellowship-Trained Retina Specialist, and a board certified Ophthalmologist specializes in medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal vascular diseases, epiretinal membranes, macular holes, and retinal detachment.
He completed three years of residency in Ophthalmology at Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago. He then went on for a two-year Surgical Retina Fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, one of the most prestigious nationally known fellowships. He served as an instructor in Ophthalmology, where he was actively involved in ophthalmology resident and medical student education.
Dr. Gendy’s research interests pertain to ocular imaging. He completed two research fellowships at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida. He published peer-reviewed scientific publications and presented his work at numerous national meetings.
Dr. Gendy is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS).
