Fahad Khan, M.D. is a native of Los Angeles, California. His journey started when he traveled to beautiful La Jolla, where he graduated with a Bachelor in Science in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego. He then attended medical school at Creighton University in Nebraska, where he decided to pursue the field of ophthalmology. Dr. Khan went on to complete his residency at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, where he developed his interest in caring for patients with Glaucoma, and went on to Dallas, Texas for his fellowship in Glaucoma at the University of Texas, Southwestern. Dr. Khan and his family have now moved to Springfield, Illinois to join Prairie Eye Center in caring for patients who suffer from Glaucoma and Cataracts.
Dr. Khan specializes in Glaucoma care, and is an expert Cataract and Glaucoma surgeon, including laser surgery. He is certified in several of the newest and best MIGs (Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery) that can be utilized at the time of cataract surgery. He is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Glaucoma Society. Dr. Khan will be bringing his expertise and dedication to patient care to Springfield, where he accepts most insurance plans. Dr. Khan has a sincere, happy, and kind personality, who can also speak Hindi (India) and Bengali (Bangladesh) with his patients and is currently accepting new patients into his practice.
