Elizabeth Heideman, OD

Elizabeth Heideman, O.D. is a central Illinois native who graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bradley University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Religious Studies. She received her Doctor of Optometry Cum Laude from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2011. During optometry school, Dr. Heideman completed externships at the Whiteriver Indian Health Service Hospital in Whiteriver, Arizona, and the Hefner Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Hickory, North Carolina.

Dr. Heideman is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Illinois Optometric Association, and the Mid-State Optometric Society. She joined Prairie Eye Center in October, 2013 and practices full-scope optometry including diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases, routine eye exams, contact lens fittings, and post-operative care.

She is currently accepting new patients at the Jacksonville location and participates with most insurance plans including Medicare, VSP, and EyeMed.
