Brian Moore, OD

Brian Moore, O.D. is a central Illinois native who graduated Summa Cum Laude from Saint Louis University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Investigative and Medical Sciences. He received his Doctor of Optometry in 2010 with High Honors from Indiana University. While attending optometry school, Dr. Moore received the David H. Kolack Award which is presented to the Indiana University graduating optometry student ranked number one in the class. He was also recognized for scoring highest among all Indiana University students on Part I of the National Boards. During optometry school, Dr. Moore completed externships at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL, and the Pensacola Veterans Affairs Clinic.

Dr. Moore is a member of the Illinois Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and the Mid-State Optometric Society and joined Prairie Eye Center in August of 2010. Dr. Moore was recognized by the Springfield Business Journal in 2019 as one of the forty area leaders under the age of 40.  He provides a wide range of primary eye care including routine eye exams, contact lens fittings, diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, and post-operative care. Dr. Moore is currently accepting new patients at our Springfield and Hillsboro locations. He accepts most insurance plans including Medicare, VSP, and Eye Med.
