Sandra Yeh, M.D.

Sandra Yeh, M.D. is the president and founder of Prairie Eye Center. She graduated from Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago in 1986. After completing her internship at Northwestern, she followed with a residency in ophthalmology at Indiana University Medical Center.

Upon moving to Springfield, she joined the practice of Michael Walsh, M.D. When Dr. Walsh retired, Dr. Yeh expanded her practice to its present location at 2020 West Iles Ave., Springfield, Ill.

Dr. Yeh is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, as well as, a member of the Sangamon County Medical Society. She has been invited to join a prestigious group of ophthalmologists to serve as Associate Examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology.

She maintains hospital privileges at all hospitals in Springfield and in Hillsboro and Rushville, Illinois. She concentrates her practice on general ophthalmology, no stitch/no patch cataract surgery and, most recently, LASIK. This innovative laser refractive surgery allows qualifying patients to reduce their dependence on glasses or contact lenses.

Dr. Yeh accepts Medicare assignment and she is currently accepting new patients into her practice.
